the story behind best her yet

Every brand has an origin story. Mine starts in the place I least expected: the end of my marriage, when I was eight weeks pregnant.

The Unraveling

That's when I found out my husband was cheating. I became all-consumed with how to save my marriage and my family. I begged and pleaded for couples counseling. I told him I was committed to doing the work to rebuild trust if he was. I asked him to stop talking to her.

And in response to all of that, things escalated. What I later realized was that I had been in an abusive relationship all along. It just finally reached a point where it became undeniable.

My final straw was finding out he was still talking to his affair partner after I asked him to go no contact with her. In that moment, I knew there was nothing that could be done to save my trust.

The Turning Point

I learned an important lesson about life through this experience you get a choice in how you show up in these major life transitions. I could play the victim, or I could use this transition as an opportunity to pause, slow down, and reflect. What do I want? Is the direction I'm going the direction I want to be headed? Are there opportunities this opens up?

I chose to reflect.

That was the catalyst for my own healing journey. I explored a lot of different healing modalities, energy work, therapy. I focused on my health. All of it with one intent: understanding how I got to that place. That meant a lot of shadow work. Looking at the role I played in getting myself into that situation. The red flags I overlooked. The people-pleasing tendencies. Not to blame myself, but because I was never going to let it happen again.

An Unexpected Discovery

While I was doing that internal work, I also tapped back into what I loved doing most as a kid: creating things. Designing things. Being creative.

Then I moved into a new home and got to design all of it. I designed with intention. To feel creative. Loving. Safe. Expansive.

And that's when it clicked. The inner work and the creative work were feeding off of each other. My space had become another tool that reinforced my new identity. The new chapter of my life. Who I was striving to be. What I no longer tolerated. It was a direct reflection of my self-worth and my self-trust.

That realization was the moment Best Her Yet was born.

What Best Her Yet Means

Everything I do stems from this one concept: the most powerful transformation happens when you transform the internal and the external, so your external reinforces the internal, and vice versa.

Best Her Yet represents the idea that we are always changing and evolving. This is my best version yet, but there will always be future versions that continue to be better. When you do this inner work, evolving is inevitable.

The Best Her Yet Method

I've spent the last six months piecing together my 15 years of expertise in the design industry, my healing certification knowledge, and everything I learned from my own personal journey of inner work. The result is the Best Her Yet Method, which blends both the internal and the external.
