Most of my work happens in conversation, not just full room reveals. Here are real design questions I have helped solve, the kind that do not require a full renovation, just the right eye and the right direction.

Real questions. Real answers. Real results.

The Question: What do I do with this empty wall?

The Fix: Honestly, this one depends. Before I give any direction I always want to know what the wall actually needs. Does the space need more functionality or is this a chance to make a statement? Because sometimes it is a big piece of art. Sometimes it is an accent wall. And sometimes what the room is actually missing is a piece of furniture. Once we figure out what it is asking for, the answer usually becomes obvious.

The Result: A wall that finally has a reason for being there.

The Question: What height should I hang my artwork?

The Fix: Eye level, always. But here is the thing, eye level is not the same in every room. In a hallway you are standing and moving through, so you can go a little higher. Above a sofa or console, the art should feel connected to the furniture underneath it, not floating above it. And in a kids room, hang it a little lower. It sounds simple but it makes such a difference.

The Result: Art that looks like it belongs there instead of something that was just thrown up.

The Question: How do I style my bookshelves so they do not look cluttered?

The Fix: Take everything off first. Lay it all on the floor so you can actually see what you have. Then start with your books, add greenery, and bring in objects with different heights and shapes. Lead with the pieces you love most and give them some breathing room. Not everything needs to be on the shelf. The space between things is doing just as much work as the things themselves.

The Result: Shelves that look curated, not like a storage solution.

The Question: How do I make my space feel updated without spending a lot?

The Fix: Honestly more than people think is possible. Throw pillows, a new vase, a rug, a piece of art. These things can completely shift the vibe of a room without touching anything structural. When you do it, try playing with a new color palette and pull at least one color of it into another rooms in your home to make your home feel more cohesive.

The Result: A space that feels like a new chapter without the price tag of one.
